Natural rubber (NR) serves as a vital raw material of significant strategic value across various sectors, including healthcare, defense, space, construction, and transportation, with vehicle tyres alone accounting for approximately 60 to 70 percent of global production. It has been established to promote sustainable growth, market leadership, and the well-being of rubber farmers.
The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) is an inter-governmental organization founded in 1970. Currently, it comprises 13 countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam, which together represented about 84% of the global natural rubber production in 2022.
